Plexiglas sheets with UV protection
These are the leaves for which the name “plexiglass” has become prevalent.
Their main characteristics are:
High transparency of up to 92% and colour stability over time.
Increased durability, at least 5 times that of even glass, which is at least 5 times greater.
Reduced weight, up to 50% compared to even glass.
Resistance to UV radiation.
Available in stock in thicknesses of 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm.
On request they are also available in other thicknesses (e.g. 20mm, 30mm) and in various designs or textures (e.g. satin, phosphorescent, etc.)
The high strength and transparency of acrylic sheets has made them the most popular material for the construction of sound barriers.
Also widespread is their use in basketball boards (10mm and 12mm thick)
They are cut with an electric circular saw or a special cutter, see the video.
